Last Wednesday I rang in my 25th birthday. I was surrounded by lots of pictures from when I was a kid...here are a few favorites. It's going to be a great year!

Achin' for some bacon

If you know me on any level at all, you probably are aware of my love for bacon. It's true. I love it so much. It began at a young age, even leading me to a pork product overdose around age 9. Good times. Over the years, many people have encouraged this obsession with strange bacon-related gifts: bacon-flavored toothpicks, bacon band-aids, pig lamps, pig candles, bacon pennants, gourmet bacon chocolate bars, and bacon air fresheners.
Although not a tangible gift, the one and only Holly Snyder shared with me bacon-related insight that may very well turn into the best bacon-related gift ever because it keeps on giving. May I introduce to you....bacon cups!

As far as I'm concerned, this new found beauty of an idea has revolutionized my use of dishware. No need to hold your food in a boring plate or cup when you have bacon cups. Needless to say, I will be hitting the grocery store this weekend so I can participate in this culinary splendor.
