Hi Krystel!
We very much enjoyed your presentation on Kenya on Sunday, October 7, at Altadena Baptist Church. We will pray that everything will come together for you to return to Africa next year. Keep up the good work!
Born and raised in Seattle, I grew up in a family of five, where I've been told by my older sisters that I was always the strong and independent one that marched to my own drum; in reality this meant I was the kid that refused to bathe, where pants, and comb my hair. Thankfully I grew out of that stage, but somehow that part of me has transpired into a heart for adventure and a willingness to go be counter-cultural. When I was 15 years old I began to develop a heart for the poorest of the poor, which has led me to where I am today. My educational path has taken me through a blend of sociology, theology, and missiology, both through college (Seattle Pacific University) and graduate school (Fuller Theological Seminary). Both a calling and a desire to work cross-culturally has brought me to a new crossroad, one hoped to be filled with adventure and personal growth. This space is an invitation to journey with me as I jump into the deep end, in all areas, both public and personal.
